Does Invisalign take longer than braces?

On average, the Invisalign treatment can take up to 12 months. This is generally a much shorter treatment time than braces, however, it does depend on the severity of your condition prior to initiating the treatment. Traditional braces average about 2 years. Most patients who are getting the Invisalign treatment will see results in as little as six week from the start of the treatment. Since the aligners are changed out every two weeks to one month, results are seen much faster than with traditional braces.

The greatest advantage of Invisalign is that they are removable which allows for comfortable chewing and cleaning of the teeth. Additionally, they are completely transparent and virtually unnoticeable. This makes the treatment very popular with our adult patients since they eliminate the need for brackets and wires that can often make them feel self-conscious about their smile.

Candidates for Invisalign have minor misalignment issues. Invisalign can also be used in combination with cosmetic dental procedures in order to create a new, beautiful smile.
